Eden Hazard: Belgium must be wary of Hungary in Euro 2016 knockout stage

Belgium's stand-in captain Eden Hazard warned his teammates not to underestimate round-of-16 opponents Hungary after a win over Sweden guaranteed qualification.

Radja Nainggolan's goal secured a 1-0 victory, eliminating Sweden from the competition -- but Hazard warned that would count for little if they failed to approach the Hungary game in the right way.

"Hungary will be tough. We saw the last minutes of their game [a 3-3 draw] against Portugal," he was quoted as saying on UEFA's official website.

"They give 200 percent and have very good players. We need another good performance to qualify for the quarterfinals."

Hazard said Sweden had "made it complicated for our defenders" and paid tribute to opposition captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has retired from international football.

"Zlatan has done a lot of important things in his career and would have wanted to go further here," he said.

"Our objective was to qualify, but unfortunately he is now eliminated. He will remain a great champion and still has a lot to offer at club level."

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots said Sweden had been forced to play an open game as they chased the win they needed.

"If you do that against us, you will be punished," he added.

"Six points from nine is very good."
