James Rodriguez's Colombia schedule 'verging on insanity' - Jupp Heynckes

MUNICH -- Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has complained of the heavy workload currently placed on international players, including Colombia forward James Rodriguez.

Colombia play South Korea in Suwon on Friday before facing China in Chonging four days later. Both games are friendly internationals.

"Honestly, this is verging on insanity," Heynckes told a news conference after Bayern's 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.

"James Rodriguez is flying to South Korea and then onto China to play two games. Quite frankly, this is incomprehensible.

"We are demanding things from players which are impossible from a physiological aspect."

James, 26, set up the opening goal for Arjen Robben in the victory against Dortmund -- Bayern's seventh in succession in all competitions since Heynckes took over as interim coach last month from Carlo Ancelotti.

James has scored two goals and provided three assists in six Bundesliga appearances for Bayern since joining on a two-year loan from Real Madrid in the summer.
