Bayern Munich sign 16-year-old Sweden star Alex Timossi Andersson

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of 16-year-old Sweden youth international Alex Timossi Andersson from Helsingborg IF.

The attacking midfielder will move to Munich in the summer of 2019. As yet, no details of the fee nor the length of the contract have been announced by either club.

"He's a highly-talented player who we are convinced will make the grade at FC Bayern," said sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. "Until he joins us he'll continue to gain match practise at Helsingborg and further develop in his familiar environment."

Andersson has been part of the Helsingborg first-team squad since the turn of the year and has scored twice in 16 league appearances this season in the Swedish second division.

He has also scored six goals in four games for Sweden under-15s and twice in seven games for their U16 team.
