Carlo Ancelotti says Singapore was 'positive' experience for Bayern

Bayern Munich manager Carol Ancelotti says he would be happy to return to Singapore if the opportunity arises after seeing his side play two games in the International Champions Cup (ICC) in the island nation.

The Italian watched his team lose 2-0 to Inter Milan on Thursday evening, having seen them defeat Chelsea 3-2 at the National Stadium on Tuesday.

Despite the challenge of playing two games in three days and a busy schedule of events off the pitch, Ancelotti insists it has been a good trip for him and his players.

"Everything was okay," Ancelotti said. "I think we had a positive experience and the facilities were very nice where we trained and we can come back without a problem."

When it was suggested that RB Leipzig Sporting Director Ralf Rangnick had claimed that all Bundesliga managers would prefer to stay in Europe for preseason, the former Chelsea boss was dismissive.

"It's not true," said Ancelotti. "We planned this trip, and we were happy to come here. We had a good test in important matches to improve our condition.

"I think it was good to be here, and now we're going back with all the squad and we are ready to prepare for the Super Cup."

There was no rest for the Bayern squad as they headed straight to Singapore's Changi Airport from the stadium.

The Bundesliga champions host Liverpool in the Audi Cup -- another preseason tournament -- on Aug. 1 before facing either Atletico Madrid or Napoli in the final or playoff for third place the following day.

Bayern then move on to a clash with rivals Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup Final on Aug. 5 before kicking off the defence of their Bundesliga title at home to Bayer Leverkusen on Aug. 18.

Manuel Neuer, Arjen Robben and Arturo Vidal were the most notable absentees from Bayern's trip to Singapore.
