Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski limped out of training on Monday but his advisor has calmed fears that his client has suffered a serious injury. No other player was involved in the training ground incident, that saw Lewandowski left on the ground clutching his back and holding his right knee in discomfort. Following a brief discussion with Carlo Ancelotti and treatment from Bayern physio Christian Huhn, the Poland striker had to finish training after only 45 minutes. However, Bild have reported that Lewandowski's injury is "nothing serious", while one of the 28-year-old's representatives, Maik Barthel, added on Twitter that "it's not a major problem." Top scorer last season with 30 goals, Lewandowski is again Bayern's top marksman in the league with seven goals, but has failed to score in eight of his last nine Bundesliga games. Bayern are yet to give an update on Lewandowski's status, but are short of options up front if he does have a problem. U.S. international forward Julian Green ruptured a muscle on Thursday and could have played his last competitive football this year. Thomas Muller, who bagged 20 goals in the Bundesliga last season, is yet to open his account this campaign in the competition this term. Meanwhile, Jerome Boateng, who didn't feature in Bayern's 2-1 win over Leverkusen at the weekend due to a muscle injury, also missed team training on Monday but did take part in an afternoon session. Record signing Javi Martinez, who played his first game of the month on Saturday, worked individually in the performance centre after suffering a blow to the head against Leverkusen. Bayern travel to face midtable Mainz on Friday, looking to keep pace with surprise Bundesliga pacesetters RB Leipzig who are three points ahead of the Bavarians at the top of the table.
