Carlo Ancelotti bemoaned his Bayern Munich side's poor attitude and promised changes as the German champions twice gave up a lead before stuttering to a 2-2 draw against 10-man Eintracht Frankfurt.
It looked plain sailing when the returning Arjen Robben fired Bayern ahead from a narrow angle in the 10th minute, but a resolute Frankfurt side deservedly equalised through Szabolcs Huszti two minutes before half-time.
Joshua Kimmich restored the advantage for Bayern just after the hour mark before tempers frayed a few minutes later when Huszti aimed a head-butt at Renato Sanches, leading to a melee which even saw the normally mild-mannered Ancelotti on the pitch trying to calm his players.
Huszti was shown a red card, but despite their man advantage, Bayern failed to hold onto their lead for a second Bundesliga game in succession, with Marco Fabian chesting in a second equaliser for Frankfurt with 12 minutes remaining.
"It's not difficult to give an opinion about this game," Ancelotti told a news conference. "We didn't play well, we didn't show a good attitude, we played against a side that were more aggressive with a different attitude.
"We slept for almost all the first 45 minutes. The second half was a little bit better, but in the end it's the right result for both teams."
Speaking about the melee, he said: "I wanted to calm down my players, but I would prefer them to stay away from such incidents. This sort of thing typifies how the players weren't so focused on the game today."
Bayern conceded two goals for the first time under Ancelotti and are without a win in three games -- their worst run of results in 18 months.
"We have slept for 45 minutes in every game this season and that's too much," Ancelotti said. "Maybe you can lose concentration for 10 minutes in a game -- but 45 minutes is too long.
"I'm not angry when my team doesn't play well. There's only one thing that makes me angry, that's when the attitude of my players is wrong. I have to make changes because I don't want my team to have this kind of attitude."
