Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti: Arjen Robben injury is not serious

Bayern Munich dropped their first Bundesliga points of the season in a 1-1 draw with Cologne and lost the returning Arjen Robben to injury on his first start in almost seven months.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti made seven changes, including bringing in Robben, to the side that lost to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Robben impressed in the opening period on his first start since March, but the Netherlands captain did not appear for the second period after picking up a rib injury on his return.

"He was in some pain and couldn't continue," Ancelotti said at his postmatch news conference. "But it's nothing serious, and in two or three days he'll be OK."

Joshua Kimmich headed Bayern ahead five minutes before the interval -- the 21-year-old Germany international's fifth goal in his last six Bayern games -- only for Anthony Modeste to level with 20 minutes to go.

Simon Zoller missed a chance to seal a shock victory but fired narrowly wide in stoppage time.

Ancelotti added: "We controlled the game in the first half and deservedly took the lead. But Cologne played much better in the second half.

"We should have won the game, but Cologne also had their chances.

"Of course we are disappointed, but we shouldn't worry. We must not forget our great start to the season. We'll go again after the international break."

Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said: "We didn't play with enough tempo -- you cannot surprise a side like Cologne playing like that. This week we've lost to Atletico and only picked up a point against Cologne. I'll need a night at least to get over it."

The champions' next Bundesliga game is away to Eintracht Frankfurt in two weeks.
