Bayern Munich signing Arturo Vidal relishing link up with coach Guardiola

Arturo Vidal is looking forward to training under Pep Guardiola, describing the Bayern Munich boss as "one of the best coaches in the world."

Vidal, 28, became the fifth most expensive player in the Bundesliga when putting pen to paper on a four-year-contract at Bayern on Tuesday.

Bayern have paid a transfer fee of €37 million for the midfielder, who left Juventus Turin after four years and four consecutive Serie A titles.

Speaking during his unveiling on Tuesday, the Chile international called Bayern "one of the best three clubs in the world" and added that he has set his sights on finally lifting the Champions League, after having suffered a 3-1 defeat in the final against Barcelona in June.

In an interview with Die Zeit, he added: "He is just incredible. Not only for me, Pep Guardiola is one of the best coaches in the world, everyone knows it. Let's see what that means for me at Bayern."

Meanwhile,CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said Guardiola's future beyond the summer of 2016 will be decided in the next few months

It has been reported by beIN SPORTS that the Spaniard will leave the Allianz Arena for Manchester City next summer, but Rummenigge has said: "There is no evidence that he will not prolong.

When asked by Sport Bild whether the uncertainty over Guardiola's future could weigh upon the Bayern squad, Rummenigge replied: "I have got a really good relationship with Philipp Lahm and he tells me that it's not an issue in the dressing room."

Rummenigge does not believe the Bayern coach will base his decision solely on the financial side of things.

"I don't think that's his mentality," Rummenigge said. "He also has cultural claim. In 2012, he chose Bayern and all its club culture. He could have already joined Chelsea or Manchester City back then."
