Pep Guardiola: Bayern Munich will come back stronger next season

Pep Guardiola has vowed his Bayern Munich side will be stronger next season after celebrating their third consecutive Bundesliga title triumph.

Bayern beat Mainz 2-0 on Saturday to cap another impressive campaign, winning the league by 10 points despite losing three of their last four games.

Guardiola congratulated his club on keeping their composure to win the league once again, but says he will build a better side as their Treble hopes ended after being knocked out of the semifinals of the both the Champions League and DFB Pokal in recent weeks.

"I must congratulate the team, my staff and our fans," he told his postgame news conference. "They gave us great support, especially against Barcelona.

"Next season we will come back stronger. I'm hoping to build the best possible squad. We had a very good season. We have won the title for the third year in a row, which is not easy.

"In the Champions League semifinal, we lost it in the first leg in Barcelona in the last 10 minutes, otherwise we might have reached the final.

"We were getting close to two finals with that and the DFB Pokal. If you look at the whole season, we have done very well."
