Jerome Boateng fails to reach settlement with former agent

Jerome Boateng and his former agent Jorg Neubauer, who parted ways in May 2013, have failed to reach a settlement in a Berlin district court over outstanding commission payments, according to reports in Bild.

Boateng is being sued by Neubauer for 750,000 euros, with 350,000 reportedly already paid. However, during the first day of the trial, which was also a conciliation hearing, both sides failed to reach a settlement.

The Bayern Munich centre-back, who is currently preparing for the restart of Bundesliga, was not in attendance and represented by his lawyer and current player agent Nicolai Schwarzer, the paper said.

Jorg Neubauer also represents Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, and the two veteran Dortmund stars Roman Weidenfeller and Sebastian Kehl.
