Cesc Fabregas says Mathieu Flamini better than Xavi or Andres Iniesta

Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas says the best midfielder he has played next to during his career is Mathieu Flamini of Arsenal.

Fabregas has played for both Premier League clubs as well as Barcelona and Spain, but he gave the nod to Flamini, a teammate at Arsenal for four seasons, over the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta.

"I had two years playing next to Flamini and he covered me," Fabregas told the Football Daily. "He covers so much ground.

"If I say Iniesta or Xavi -- yeah, it's fantastic for the eyes but in real football it's not real for me.

"But if I had to choose one it would have to be between Gilberto Silva and Flamini."

Fabregas played with Flamini at the Emirates from 2004-2008, and they regularly partnered in midfield in the Frenchman's final season before he moved to AC Milan.
