Norwich and Sunderland both fined £30,000 over touchline fracas

Norwich and Sunderland have been fined £30,000 each and warned as to their future conduct for failing to ensure their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, the Football Association has said.

The fines follow an incident early into Sunderland's 3-0 win at Carrow Road on April 16.

Troubled flared in the fourth minute of the game when Norwich's Robbie Brady challenged Sunderland defender DeAndre Yedlin and appeared to push him into the pitch-side advertising hoardings.

The clubs were ultimately charged after the ensuing melee in which players and staff from both sides squared up in front of the dugout, with Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce shoving Norwich midfielder Jonny Howson and substitute Cameron Jerome.

Though Norwich contested the charge, but it was upheld following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing. Sunderland meanwhile accepted the charge.
