Premier League team news: Updates on injuries and suspensions

Leicester are unchanged again as Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, Shinji Okazaki and Marc Albrighton continue up front.

Jeff Schlupp missed their 1-0 win over Southampton with a knee injury and is not fit enough for the squad, while Matty James (knee) is not fit to feature as he continues his recovering from his long-term injury.

Sam Allardyce does not have any fresh injury concerns as Fabio Borini and Jermain Defoe start up front for Sunderland, who are also unchanged.

Sebastian Larsson was among those pushing to force his way into a starting berth after Allardyce rued his side's missed opportunities in last Saturday's frustrating goalless draw with West Brom, but is only on the bench.

Striker Duncan Watmore remains the Black Cats' only long-term absentee with an ankle ligament injury which is set to rule him out for the remainder of the campaign.

- LIVERPOOL

Jordan Henderson is facing a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury which in the short term at least rules him out of Sunday's visit of Stoke. The England midfielder sustained the problem in the first half of the 1-1 draw in Dortmund and he left the stadium on crutches. Forwards Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino are pushing for starting places after brief substitute appearances in Germany but the goal scorer at Signal Iduna Park, Divock Origi, could well keep his place.

Provisional squad: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Milner, Firmino, Lallana, Coutinho, Origi, Ward, Toure, Skrtel, Ward, Allen, Brannagan, Ibe, Ojo, Sturridge.

- STOKE

Stoke have Ryan Shawcross and Xherdan Shaqiri back, but Glenn Whelan and Marko Arnautovic are doubts. Skipper Shawcross and winger Shaqiri are each set for their first appearance in three games after recovering from back and thigh problems respectively. Midfielder Whelan sustained a back issue of his own when getting out of his car, forcing him off in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Swansea, a match which also saw Arnautovic pick up a knee injury. Goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard, who made his Barclays Premier League debut in that contest, is set to remain in the first XI.

Provisional squad: Haugaard, Given, Shawcross, Wollscheid, Cameron, Muniesa, Pieters, Bardsley, Imbula, Whelan, Adam, Ireland, Afellay, Shaqiri, Bojan, Joselu, Crouch, Diouf.

- TOTTENHAM

Jan Vertonghen could play for the first time in almost three months following a knee injury but the defender is fit again. He could start if boss Mauricio Pochettino selects the Belgian over the in-form Kevin Wimmer. Clinton Njie has also recovered from a knee problem and has returned to full training while Erik Lamela is back after shaking off a knock. Nabil Bentaleb (knee), however, is out.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Walker, Trippier, Davies, Rose, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Vertonghen, Winks, Dembele, Mason, Dier, Carroll, Eriksen, Onomah, Lamela, Son, Chadli, Njie, Kane.

- MAN UNITED

Wayne Rooney will not be ready to return when Manchester United travel to face title-chasing Tottenham on Sunday. The 30-year-old will step up his rehabilitation from a knee injury by playing for United's Under-21s on Monday and is joined on the sidelines this weekend by Adnan Januzaj. Bastian Schweinsteiger (knee), Luke Shaw (leg) and Will Keane (groin) are others absent at White Hart Lane, where Ashley Young and Phil Jones could get their first minutes since returning from injury.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Darmian, Rojo, Varela, Valencia, Jones, Borthwick-Jackson, Fosu-Mensah, Blind, Smalling, Schneiderlin, McNair, Herrera, Fellaini, Carrick, Mata, Young, Lingard, Depay, Martial, Rashford.
