Defender Marc Muniesa and midfielder Stephen Ireland, who have both been sidelined by hamstring problems, are nearing readiness to return to first-team action but neither is expected to be involved at The Hawthorns. Hughes has indicated he may opt to make some adjustments having named the same starting line-up for the previous two matches, the victories over Manchester United on Boxing Day and at Everton on Dec. 28.
