Tottenham and Chelsea draw, Arsenal held at Norwich, Klopp's Liverpool win

In-form Tottenham Hotspur played out a 0-0 draw against Premier League champions Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

In a game of few goal-scoring chances, both sides had to settle for a point as the match failed to recreate the drama of last season's 5-3 win for Spurs.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourino's starting XI at White Hart Lane saw Eden Hazard preferred in a false nine role, with striker Diego Costa on the substitutes' bench.

Tottenham narrowly edged the first half in terms of opportunities, with Harry Kane, Mousa Dembele and Son Heung-Min all calling goalkeeper Asmir Begovic into action.

Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was forced into a superb save on 68 minutes when he got down low to turn Hazard's left-footed shot around the post.

But neither side could find a breakthrough with Tottenham still unbeaten since their opening-day loss to Manchester United.

Norwich City held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at Carrow Road on Sunday, leaving the Gunners three Premier League matches without a win and facing further injury problems.

After losing Laurent Koscielny in the first half to injury, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger saw star man Alexis Sanchez limp off in the second period.

Arsenal went in front on 30 minutes when a poor clearance from goalkeeper John Ruddy allowed Sanchez to send through Mesut Ozil, who chipped the ball home.

Norwich hit back before half-time with Robbie Brady finding Lewis Grabban, who rolled Gabriel Paulista before slotting past goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Norwich almost won the match only for Cech to make a superb save low down to his left after the ball deflected off Gabriel.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp claimed a first Premier League win at Anfield as his side beat Garry Monk's Swansea City to climb to sixth.

After a first half light on goal-scoring chances, Liverpool took the lead on 62 minutes when James Milner scored from the penalty spot after Neil Taylor was adjudged to have handballed in the box.

Klopp was also handed a boost as Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson both featured following long-term injuries.

An own goal by West Ham defender Winston Reid ensured West Brom claimed a 1-1 draw in their Premier League match at Upton Park.

West Ham took the lead in style on 17 minutes when Mauro Zarate curled a brilliant free kick into the top corner.

The visitors levelled five minutes into the second half when Rickie Lambert's shot deflected off Reid to wrong-foot goalkeeper Adrian.

Salomon Rondon had a golden chance to claim all three points for West Brom but the striker was denied by a splendid save by Adrian.
