Everton keen to sign Wolves striker Nouha Dicko - sources

Everton are tracking Wolves striker Nouha Dicko as manager Roberto Martinez looks to add to his attacking options this summer, sources have told ESPN FC.

Dicko, 23, helped Wolves win promotion back to the Championship in his first season at the club and he finished as the club's joint-top scorer last season with 15 goals.

He is entering the final year of his contract at Molineux, with the club determined to try and keep him as they plan to mount another bid for promotion to the Premier League next season.

Martinez has made reinforcing his strikeforce one of his top priorities after a disappointing season which saw them finish 11th in the table after Samuel Eto'o left in the January transfer window for Sampdoria.

The Spanish boss signed the Mali international during his time in charge at Wigan, bringing him over to England in 2011 from Strasbourg as a 19-year-old, and he has kept tabs on his progress ever since.

Dicko struggled to win too many first-team changes at Wigan due to the number of manager changes during his time at the DW Stadium, but he has started to fulfil his potential since leaving the club to join Wolves in January 2014.

Indeed, the versatile striker's form has not gone unnoticed among clubs in the Premier League and Everton scouts have watched him in action on several occasions.
