QPR boss Chris Ramsey angry after objects thrown at Chelsea players

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey voiced his anger after objects were thrown from a section of home fans following Chelsea's late winner at Loftus Road.

Cesc Fabregas took Chelsea a step nearer to the Premier League title when he netted with his team's only shot on target of the afternoon as the Blues capitalised on a poor clearance by QPR goalkeeper Robert Green.

Plastic bottles and coins were thrown from the Rangers end, while Branislav Ivanovic appeared to be struck by a lighter during the celebrations.

And Ramsey said "We don't want any objects thrown on the pitch.

"We know the hostilities between fans can sometimes go too far, and if that is the case we'd like to make sure that's not somebody who is encouraged to come back into the club."

His opposite number Jose Mourinho said he believed that, overall, the game had been played in a manner that was "correct on the pitch and in the stands."

"If, at the end of the game somebody threw a pound, put the pound in your pocket and go," he said. "If it is a chocolate, eat. No problem.

"Do my players need a pound? Everyone needs a pound. Never throw a pound away."

Ramsey, meanwhile, said he was "absolutely sick" after Chelsea snatched the points with a goal that could prove a big blow to his side's hopes of avoiding Premier League relegation.

They had seemed on course for a point that would have left them only one adrift of safety -- but their hard-working display ultimately yielded no reward.

"I'm obviously very, very disappointed," Ramsey said. "I thought we could have got something from the game.

"It's the detail that kills you. Chelsea have got players who can pass the ball, arrive in good places and finish.

"To not even get a point is disappointing. I'm absolutely sick tonight, especially for the supporters. They and the players deserved more, but you just can't afford to switch off -- like we did -- at this level."

He refused to blame Green, whose poor clearance led to the Chelsea move that brought the goal, saying: "You can't blame Rob Green. Granted, it wasn't one of his better clearances -- but the manner in which we defended it thereafter was shambolic."

He said QPR, who still face trips to Liverpool and Manchester City, would "fight on" as they battle to avoid relegation after just one season back in the top flight.
