Brendan Rodgers: Liverpool won't be signing Bolton keeper Adam Bogdan

LIVERPOOL -- Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has dismissed reports that he is considering a move for Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.

Rodgers also indicated that he does not expect to make any more signings before the transfer window closes next Monday.

On Jan. 9, the manager suggested he was looking at signing a goalkeeper this month, with Simon Mignolet struggling for form and Brad Jones out with a thigh injury sustained in December.

Bogdan, 27, made a series of impressive saves as Bolton secured a 0-0 draw at Anfield in Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie.

And the Hungary international's future at the Macron Stadium is uncertain because he has played only twice since the end of August and is out of contract at the end of the season.

But asked whether there was anything to reports linking Liverpool with a swoop for Bogdan, Rodgers said: "Nothing at all."

It seems increasingly unlikely that the Anfield manager will bring in any goalkeeper during the window.

He had been interested in signing former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes as a free agent earlier this season, but no deal materialised and the 33-year-old went to Manchester United instead.

Rodgers said: "It's very quiet for us. So unless something dramatic happens, then we'll be as we are."

Asked whether there was the potential for something dramatic to happen, Rodgers added: "I wouldn't have though so, no."
