Angel Di Maria: I don't think Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Man Utd

Angel Di Maria has said there is little in the rumours regarding Cristiano Ronaldo's possible return to Manchester United.

Di Maria left Real Madrid last summer, when he became the most expensive signing in the history of the Premier League. Madrid cashed in on the former Benfica man for 59.8 million pounds, but are unlikely to do the same for Ronaldo.

"I don't think that he will return here, it is very difficult to leave Real Madrid," Di Maria said on local radio, according to AS.com. "He is doing very well there -- therefore, I don't see a reason why he would want a change."

Ronaldo, 29, signed a new contract with Madrid in September 2013, keeping him at the club for a further five years.

Indeed, Madrid have always said they are not willing to sell their prized asset and his agent Jorge Mendes revealed recently that he would end his career in Spain but could then move to play in the United States.

Di Maria, who has a good relationship with Ronaldo, spoke in November about the Portuguese, who recommended him to sign for United. Back then, he said: "He told me that I would be happy here and that it was a great opportunity for my career."
