Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech's agent talks up Liverpool, Arsenal links

Petr Cech's agent has been quoted suggesting his client is "unlikely" to leave Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window, but he has apparently encouraged Liverpool and Arsenal to make a bid for the Czech Republic keeper.

Cech has been demoted to second choice keeper at Chelsea following the return of Thibaut Courtois from his extended loan spell at Atletico Madrid, with speculation mounting in the English media that the decorated keeper will look to make a move from Stamford Bridge next month.

Comments from Cech's agent Viktor Kolar, which appeared in the Daily Mirror, hinted the 32-year-old keeper is more likely to make his move from Chelsea next summer.

"It's unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window," Kolar is quoted by the newspaper.

"The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title. I think Arsenal should have made an offer to him. I think Petr would be considering it. Liverpool need to strengthen their position in goal and they know Petr will be available in the summer.

"We've been in contact with Real Madrid, but they don't need a keeper just now."
