Radamel Falcao has reiterated his desire to remain at Manchester United beyond the end of the season after scoring his first Premier League goal at the weekend. Falcao, 28, opened his United account at the fourth attempt by scoring the winner in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Everton at Old Trafford. The Colombia international, who also cleared a Phil Jagielka effort off the line in the second half, is on loan from Monaco until the end of the season. United will have to pay a fee in the region of the 50 million euros Monaco paid Atletico Madrid for him a year ago if they want to sign him permanently next summer, something the player would welcome. "Me and my family are happy here, and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United," Falcao told MUTV. The former Porto striker made similar comments when he was first presented to the media last month, before making his debut in the 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on Sept. 14. "I believe in this project," he said at the time. "I think Manchester United is the best club for my style of play and I am sure about my decision. This project in the future will be great for us." United manager Louis van Gaal said after the Everton game that he expects Falcao can continue his scoring form after the international break, as club captain Wayne Rooney serves the final two matches of his three-game suspension following his red card against West Ham. Falcao started up front alongside Robin van Persie, who scored in his two previous games before facing Everton but did not find the net against the Toffees.
