Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi has moved back to Stoke City on a season-long loan. The Morocco international, 26, spent last season on loan at the Britannia Stadium, scoring five goals in 25 appearances. Assaidi moved to Anfield from Dutch club Heerenveen in August 2012, but has never started a Premier League match for Brendan Rodgers' side. His four league appearances for the Reds have all come as a substitute, although he has made four starts for the club in the Europa League. Assaidi is one of several fringe players that Rodgers has been looking to move out of Liverpool to get them regular first-team football. Daniel Agger sealed a three million pounds move to Brondby on Saturday, two days after fellow defender Jack Robinson joined QPR, who immediately loaned him out to Championship side Huddersfield. In addition, Uruguayan centre-back Sebastian Coates joined Sunderland on a season's loan on Monday. Stoke were interested in signing Assaidi on a permanent deal earlier this summer, but their chief executive Tony Scholes claimed in June that Liverpool were asking too high a price -- believed to be around seven million pounds. Assaidi becomes Mark Hughes' seventh summer signing following the arrivals of Bojan Krkic, Mame Biram Diouf, Phil Bardsley, Steve Sidwell, Victor Moses and Dionatan Teixeira.
