Everton coach Alan Stubbs is among the candidates for the vacant manager's job at Scottish club Hibernian.
Stubbs, who manages the Toffees' under-21 side, has been interviewed for the role at Easter Road, sources have told ESPN.
Hibernian sacked Terry Butcher on June 10 after they were relegated from the Scottish Premiership.
Their chief executive Leann Dempster has held talks with several candidates to replace Butcher, including former Wolves and Ipswich defender Mark Venus, who was Hibs' assistant manager between 2004 and 2006.
Stubbs, who had two spells at Everton as a centreback and also played for Bolton, Celtic, Sunderland and Derby, joined the coaching staff at Goodison Park in September 2008.
When David Moyes left for Manchester United last summer, the 42-year-old was interviewed by chairman Bill Kenwright for the manager's job at Goodison Park, but lost out to Roberto Martinez.
