Barcelona striker Luis Suarez celebrates his 30th birthday today. Here, we look at some of the numbers associated with his career.

14 - Age he joined the youth team of Nacional, his first professional club.

800,000 - The amount in euros that Dutch club Groningen paid to take him to the Eredivisie in 2006.

31 - Number of league goals scored in 33 matches as Liverpool narrowly missed out on a long-awaited Premier League title in 2014.

45 - The total number of matches missed (club and international) for bans following three biting incidents and one of racial abuse.

47 - Total of international goals for Uruguay, making him the country's all-time top scorer.
