Barcelona star Neymar is suing a court in Brazil for leaking information relating to a tax evasion case against him in his homeland, local media have reported. Neymar filed the complaint in May after it was revealed in March that he'd been ordered to pay €45.9 million in fines and back-taxes between 2012 and 2014 in relation to his transfer from Santos to Barcelona. According to documents made available online, the court now has 15 days to give the names of all the people who had access to the information of the process against Neymar. The judge working the case, Eduardo Santos da Rocha Penteado, feels there is evidence to suggest that the media obtained access to secret information relating to the proceedings against Neymar prematurely. Neymar is seeking compensation and wants the court to adopt "effective measures" to prevent further leaks. He also wants to know what is being done to investigate and punish those involved in the leaks. The original case against Neymar claims he used the businesses he has with his father (Neymar Sport e Marketing, N & N Consultoria, N & N Administracao de Bens) to avoid paying taxes on his 2013 move to Barcelona. The judges examining the case alleged that false contracts were created to avoid paying large sums of money. Last year, the court froze assets related to Neymar valued at around €42m because of the tax evasion allegations. In a separate issue, a case against Neymar, his father, Sandro Rosell, Barcelona and Santos was also re-opened last week. The case centres around a complaint made by investment company DIS, which claims it is due more money from the 2013 deal which took the Brazilian international to Europe. The Neymar family say they are relaxed about the situation because "all the contracts legally, ethically and morally comply with the rules."
