Marc Bartra confirms that his Barcelona release clause is €8 million

Marc Bartra has placed a host of European clubs on alert after confirming that his release clause at Barcelona has been reduced to €8 million.

The defender made 13 appearances during the season for the Catalan club, meaning that the clause written into his contract --reported to previously been set at €40m -- has now dropped due to a lack of playing time.

Bartra confirmed the news at national team media conference on Saturday: "It's in the hands of Carles Puyol [Bartra's agent] and my representatives."

The 25-year-old is determined not to let the doubts surrounding his club future interrupt his preparation for Spain's Euro 2016 campaign, adding that the mood in the squad was sky-high ahead of Sunday's friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

"I'm happy to be here, the boss called me and to be at the Euros is a dream for which I have been preparing for over a year," he added.

"Players change, there are some who have had a lot of titles, others who just started, and there's always a good atmosphere."
