Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez are 'special' - Dani Alves

Barcelona's attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez is the "most special" Dani Alves has even seen, the right-back has told Sport360.

Messi, Neymar and Suarez have scored 108 goals between them in all competitions this season this season, with Barcelona top of La Liga and in the semifinals of the Champions League.

Alves, who signed for Barca from Sevilla in 2008, rates the star forwards highly, even more so than when he played alongside Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o.

The Brazil international said: "The attacking three players we have are special, the most special I have ever seen.

"Of course our forwards have a big part to play in our success, but so does every position. It is not just up to the attacking players."

Messi, speaking at Tuesday's news conference, added: "I cannot say if this is the best trio. I have had the good fortune to play with spectacular, impressive players. So it is difficult to choose.

"I enjoy playing with all my teammates, including those of today, but I could not say which is the bet trio. We enjoy ourselves together, both on and off the pitch. But it's difficult, as had very good players beside me [in past], as I do today."

Alves, whose contract expires at Camp Nou this summer, has a positive relationship with Messi on and off the field, as indicated by the Argentine recently.

He said: "We are great friends, not just in the dressing room and in the training ground, but away from football. We will be great friends for life."

Alves is set to line up for Barca in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich, who are now managed by former Blaugrana boss Pep Guardiola.

The wing-back has much admiration for the Spaniard, adding: "It is natural that people always talk about his success, but he is a really good guy as well.

"The thing with Pep is that in training he simplifies things; he doesn't make them more complicated. It is that simplistic, beautiful approach to the game that made us so successful; we got it very quickly."
