Barcelona's six-goal outing puts Messi, Suarez, Neymar over 100 for season

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique said it was impossible to choose a favourite goal after his front three all scored crackers in Tuesday's 6-0 win over Getafe at the Camp Nou.

The South American front three have now scored 102 goals between them this season -- Lionel Messi has 49, Neymar 32 and Luis Suarez 21 -- passing the century mark set by Messi, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o in 2008-09.

Messi opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 15 minutes, and further spectacular strikes by Luis Suarez (two), Neymar, and Xavi Hernandez had Barca in total control before half-time.

He made it 6-0 soon after the break with a typical curling effort, with Getafe offering only a Freddy Hinestroza effort against a post.

The result puts Barca five points clear at the top of La Liga, with second-placed Real Madrid facing Almeria at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.

Asked at his postmatch news conference to choose the night's best goal, the blaugrana coach said that was impossible after a superb display of finishing.

"I would choose all six," he said. "When a team has this level of effectiveness, it makes it difficult for any opponent. It was a difficult game, but we settled it in the first half.

"I do not remember a game with so many spectacular goals. There is still room for improvement, no doubt, but to better our results is difficult."

Luis Enrique left all three forwards on the pitch for the full 90 minutes, despite the game having long been decided, but said that was not a ploy to avoid the possibility of annoying a sensitive star.

"I never set out objectives like this," he said. "It depends on the games. I saw how they were [today] and it will depend on how I see the situation in every moment."

Barcelona have scored 97 goals in 34 La Liga games, keeping 20 clean sheets -- something Luis Enrique put down to collective efforts.

"The team does not just score goals, they are also very committed to working for each other in defensive work," he said. "They were all at an extraordinary level."

Barcelona are still on course to claim the treble won by Pep Guardiola in his debut campaign, and chants of "Luis Enrique" were heard again a week before Guardiola arrives with Bayern Munich for the Champions League semifinal.

"Those who shout 'Luis Enrique' are always the same," the current coach said with a smile. "I've paid them off."
