Barcelona's Andres Iniesta back in training ahead of Sevilla game

Andres Iniesta is back in training as he continues his recovery from a calf problem ahead of Barcelona's La Liga game against Sevilla on Saturday.

Iniesta, 30, was taken off injured in Barca's 3-1 clasico defeat to Real Madrid on Oct. 25, and subsequently missed games against Celta Vigo, Almeria and Ajax.

The Spain midfielder has not been given the all-clear from the Camp Nou club's medical staff, though he could be in contention for the home tie with Sevilla, who sit two points behind second-placed Barca.

Defenders Thomas Vermaelen and Jeremy Mathieu were also back in training on Thursday as the Catalan club look to keep the pressure on Real Madrid, who lead La Liga by two points.

Vermaelen has yet to play a first-team game for Barca since signing from Arsenal this summer, but will be hoping to force himself into Luis Enrique's side given centre-back Gerard Pique has been left out lately.

Barca have struggled in recent matches after an impressive start to the season: Enrique's side lost to Real and Celta in successive games, before Luis Suarez came off the bench to rescue three points against Almeria.
