Perth not distracted by Diego Castro, Rhys Williams speculation - Garcia

Perth Glory veteran Richard Garcia is adamant the uncertainty surrounding the future of star duo Diego Castro and Rhys Williams won't distract the team from their title quest.

Castro will wait until the end of the season before deciding on his future, while Williams has been linked to a move to either Melbourne Victory or Sydney FC.

Glory have slid to sixth after picking up just two points from their past four games.

If Glory can beat title contenders Brisbane Roar and Melbourne City over the final two weeks of the regular season, they could finish in the top four and earn a home final.

But they are also in danger of slipping out of the finals mix altogether, with Phoenix making a late charge.

Garcia doesn't think the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Williams and Castro has affected the side.

"The group hasn't really thought about it. It's more at a boardroom level that those conversations have been taking place," Garcia said.

"If they don't stay next year, we have to take advantage of having them this year and enjoy the rest of the season and make sure we succeed."

Castro will notch his 50th A-League appearance in Saturday night's clash with the Roar at nib Stadium.

Garcia can't remember a better 50 games in the A-League.

"He's head and shoulders above anyone we've had in the A-League," Garcia said of last season's Johnny Warren medallist.

"He's produced some fantastic moments, as well as goals and assists.

"Let's hope he has a good last few games, and then returns in the coming future."

Castro, speaking through an interpreter, said he would wait until the end of the season before making a call on his future.

The 34-year-old Spaniard did the same thing at the end of last season.

"My focus now is not on my future, it's just on this season and to win this season," Castro said.

"It's been a wonderful experience for me and my family. I'm so grateful for all the things I've received from Perth Glory, the crowd, and all the people involved in my life.

"I'm very focused on finishing this season, to be at the top of the league, and then you will see next season."

Williams (suspension) and Rostyn Griffiths (quad) will return against the Roar in an important double boost for Glory.

The Roar sit in third spot, three points clear of Melbourne City and six points ahead of Perth.
