Lisa De Vanna given one-match suspension for W-League attack

Matildas co-captain Lisa De Vanna was hit with a one-match suspension for an incident in a W-League semifinal earlier this month.

The Canberra United forward was cited by Football Federation Australia (FFA) nine days after charging into the back of Melbourne City's Jess Fishlock in an off-the-ball attack that was missed by the match officials.

De Vanna pleaded guilty to the charge of "Serious Unsporting Conduct" and nine days after being chraged, FFA's independent disciplinary and ethics committee panel determined the minimum sanction of a mandatory match suspension would suffice.

De Vanna has no right to appeal.
