Albanian striker Besart Berisha scored in the 12th minute and Fahid Ben Khalfallah netted in the final minute to give the Melbourne Victory a 2-0 win over the Central Coast Mariners in the A-League on Sunday.
The win moved the Victory three points ahead of Sydney FC in fifth place, six points behind first-place Adelaide.
Sydney have not won in their past seven matches and lead seventh-place Perth by just two points and Newcastle by four. There are five regular-season rounds remaining.
