Blake Powell scored four goals to lead the Wellington Phoenix to a 5-2 win over Western Sydney Wanderers, preventing them from moving into first place in the A-League.
On another weekend marred by fan disturbances, Powell scored goals in the fourth, 20th, 33rd and 71st minutes before a 90th minute penalty from Michael McGlinchey. Mark Bridge and Mitch Nichols netted in the second half for Wanderers.
The Wanderers missed a chance to overtake first-place Brisbane, who lead by one point.
The final match of the 19th round between last-placed Central Coast and Adelaide United was delayed by four hours Sunday due to extremely hot afternoon temperatures at Gosford, north of Sydney.
