Mark Bridge clinches late win for WS Wanderers over Wellington Phoenix

Western Sydney Wanderers secured a late 2-1 win over Wellington Phoenix FC to climb to third in the A-League on Saturday.

Federico Piovaccari opened the scoring for hosts Western Sydney Wanderers on nine minutes, finishing from close range.

Wellington Phoenix FC restored parity before half-time with Manny Muscat netting from inside the area after receiving Roly Bonevacia's pass.

The winning goal came with five minutes left on the clock when Mark Bridge slotted home right-footed.

Elsewhere, Perth Glory and Sydney FC played out a goalless draw in front of 6,976 fans at nib Stadium.

The result leaves Perth Glory second from bottom in the standings while Sydney FC are two points off the top in fourth.
