Perth Glory back top of A-League table with Adelaide United draw

Perth Glory returned to the top of the A-League standings despite only drawing 1-1 with Adelaide United on Sunday.

Hosts Adelaide took the lead in the 11th minute through striker Pablo Sanchez, but Perth were on level terms in the 56th minute when midfielder Nebojsa Marinkovic found the back of the net.

The draw enabled Perth to move a point above Melbourne Victory into first place, with 34 points gleaned from their 17 matches.

On Saturday, Melbourne Victory played out a dramatic 3-3 draw away at Sydney FC.
