Adelaide United kept up the heat on the leading two in the A-League with a 2-0 home win over 10-man Western Sydney Wanderers.
The game swung in the hosts' favour when Nikolai Topor-Stanley was sent off after only 17 minutes.
Marcelo Carrusca put Adelaide in front after 36 minutes and Fabio Ferreira added a second 10 minutes after the break to seal the win.
Victory moved Adelaide a point behind second-placed Melbourne Victory and two behind leaders Perth Glory.
Elsewhere, Wellington Phoenix came from behind to win 3-1 at Newcastle Jets thanks to three goals in six minutes.
Joel Griffiths gave the Jets at half-time lead, but strikes from Nathan Burns (73), Michael McGlinchey (74) and Roy Krishna (78) turned the match on its head.
