Mile Jedinak, Mathew Ryan recalled to Australia's World Cup qualifiers squad

Captain Mile Jedinak and goalkeeper Mat Ryan have been recalled to Australia's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh.

Uncapped defender Josh Risdon was also named by coach Ange Postecoglou in a 23-man squad for the matches in Canberra on Nov. 12 and in Dhaka on Nov. 17.

Jedinak and Ryan haven't played for Australia since their opening qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek in June, missing wins over Bangladesh and Tajikistan and a loss to Jordan.

"Having Mile and Maty available again is a boost for the next two matches," Postecoglou said when naming his squad.

"Mile has made his return from injury and as the skipper his presence will be a bonus for us while Mat will be back in full training by the time the window comes along next week.

"Josh's selection is a reward for his form with Perth Glory. He has been on our radar for a while now, he's started the season well so we'll bring him to see how he fits into the environment in a position we have been open in suggesting we need to create more depth."

Midfielder Luke Brattan, who signed with Manchester City earlier in the week and has been loaned to Bolton, defender Tarek Elrich and injured goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic have all missed the cut.

Full squad: Nathan Burns, Tim Cahill, Alex Cisak, Jason Davidson, Adam Federici, Mile Jedinak, Tomi Juric, Mathew Leckie, Massimo Luongo, Ryan McGowan, Matt McKay, James Meredith, Mark Milligan, Aaron Mooy, Tommy Oar, Josh Risdon, Tom Rogic, Mat Ryan, Trent Sainsbury, Matt Spiranovic, James Troisi, Alex Wilkinson, Bailey Wright.
