Celta Vigo striker Nolito happy, but doesn't rule out move to Atletico

Celta Vigo attacker Nolito is not ruling out the possibility of a summer move to Atletico Madrid.

Nolito, 28, has had by far the best season of his career during 2014-15, racking up 13 goals and 13 assists in La Liga [the same total as Madrid galactico James Rodriguez].

Such performances saw the former Barcelona youth teamer honoured with the Spanish football writers "breakthrough player" award, and saw him again included by Vicente del Bosque in his Spain squad for the upcoming friendly against Costa Rica and Euro 2016 qualifier in Belarus.

Asked, upon receiving the award, about the possibility of a move to Atletico, the Andalucian said in AS that he was happy at Celta but would not rule out a change happening this summer.

"Sincerely, I really like it at Celta," Nolito said. "I have four more years on my contract there. But in football you can never predict what will happen, nor say I will never drink that water. I am just thinking about the national team, and going on holidays. It is a perfect day. Above all for the prize, and for the call-up."

Nolito made his Spain debut during November's 1-0 friendly defeat to Germany in Vigo, and has not subsequently featured for La Roja, but said he remained hopeful of going to next summer's European Championships in France.

"I have to keep working and improving every day," he said. "If I have the good fortune then of I course I would like to go. It is difficult because the national team has very good players."
