Villa eye Iceland striker Finnbogason
Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has become the latest manager linked with Heerenveen striker Alfred Finnbogason, with Darren Bent likely to leave the club in the January transfer window.
Villa are ready to listen to offers for Bent and Iceland forward Finnbogason is the latest option being considered by Lambert, according to the Daily Mail.
Finnbogason has blossomed under Heerenveen coach Marco van Basten, with 12 goals in 14 Eredivisie games this season, after joining from Belgian side Lokeren for £1 million in the summer.
A host of clubs have been alerted to the talents of the 23-year-old and Fulham and Sunderland are also understood to have checked out the striker in recent weeks.
