Mohamed Salah scores in Roma debut; Inter, Atletico win preseason friendlies

Mohamed Salah scored on his debut as Roma won 3-1 to win Valencia's Trofeo Naranja in a preseason friendly on Saturday.

The visitors opened the scoring in the ninth minute after Gervinho hit both posts with two shots, only for the ball to again rebound for Salah to tap home.

Francesco Totti doubled Roma's advantage 15 minutes later, but Sofiane Feghouli drew a goal back for Valencia in the 31st minute.

Gervinho did find the net in the second half after being played through by Totti.

Stevan Jovetic and Mauro Icardi scored either side of half-time to lead Inter Milan to a 2-0 win over Athletic Bilbao.

New signing Jovetic scored his first goal in an Inter shirt with a first-time strike in the 27th minute.

Icardi nodded home Yuto Nagatomo's cross with six minutes to play to secure the victory.

Sevilla, who are preparing to face Barcelona in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday, responded to an early deficit to draw 1-1 with AEK Athens.

Christos Aravidis scored just two minutes in for newly promoted AEK, but Jose Antonio Reyes equalised in the 19th minute.

Atletico Madrid controlled Real Sociedad for a 2-0 win. Markel Bergara's own goal opened the scoring 16 minutes, while Antoine Griezmann scored in the 75th minute.

Earlier in the day, Atletico played one half each against third-tier club Guadalajara -- a goalless draw -- and Segunda Division side Leganes -- a 1-0 win thanks to Robert Pires' goal.

Pepe Reina and Iker Casillas both kept clean sheets for their new teams as Napoli and Porto duelled to a goalless draw. Casillas played the first half while Reina was replaced in the 78th minute.
