Monaco's young stars: Meet the talents storming the Champions League

AS Monaco are in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League for the second time in three years after a 3-1 victory against Manchester City on Wednesday saw them advance on away goals.

The main reason for their success this season comes from their attack. Monaco have scored 126 goals in 47 games in all competitions following Wednesday's game, including 15 in the Champions League, and their 84 goals scored in Ligue 1 are the most of any team in Europe's top five leagues.

Veteran striker Radamel Falcao has played a large role in their success, but for a club that takes pride in developing its young players, several of them have starred, too.

Here's a look at some of Monaco's brightest young stars:

Kylian Mbappe, striker

Age: 18

What to know: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger caused a stir when he revealed he has been tracking 18-year-old Monaco striker, but the most notable thing Wenger said was the comparison he made to Gunners legend Thierry Henry.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, midfielder

What to know: While Claude Makelele's advice has helped shape the Bakayoko of today, as a youngster, he dreamt of playing the more marauding game of Yaya Toure.

Thomas Lemar, midfielder
