Monaco's Leonardo Jardim admits Prem interest amid Arsenal talk

Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has said he would like to manage in the Premier League one day, amid speculation that he is being tracked by Arsenal.

Jardim is reported to be on Arsenal's shortlist of candidates to potentially replace Arsene Wenger in the summer should he decide to leave the club.

Jardim has caught the eye this season after guiding Monaco to the top of the Ligue 1 table, while they have scored more goals this term than any other side in Europe's top five leagues with 76.

"All coaches and players like playing at the highest level," Jardim is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"The Premier League is a very important championship, perhaps the most important in Europe. Everybody would one day like to have the opportunity to work there.

"But we also have our project in Monaco, and we have a duty to this club. For me, because of the respect I have for the club, I am going to give 200 percent."

Jardim's Monaco side face Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie on Tuesday.
