Monaco striker Radamel Falcao cleared to return after concussion

Radamel Falcao is set for his first appearance since suffering concussion last month after being included in Monaco's squad for Friday's Ligue 1 game against Montpellier.

Falcao, 30, has not featured in his club's last five competitive outings after sustaining a severe blow to the head in a collision with Nice goalkeeper Yoan Cardinale on Sept. 21.

He returned to training last week, but it was only after further medical examination by a specialist on Thursday that the Colombia international, who has scored one goal in three league games to date this season, was finally given the green light to play.

Monaco, who picked up a 1-1 draw from their trip to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday, will move from third to second -- leapfrogging Paris Saint-Germain -- if they avoid defeat in the game at the Stade Louis II.
