Monaco's Radamel Falcao set for brain scan following concussion lay-off

Radamel Falcao will undergo a further brain scan on Thursday to determine whether he can return to action after suffering concussion, RMC have reported.

The Colombia international, 30, returned to first-team training more than a week ago, but has yet to feature in a competitive game since taking a blow to the head in his team's 4-0 Ligue 1 defeat to Nice on Sept. 21.

The former Atletico Madrid and Porto striker, who was hospitalised for 24 hours after the collision with Nice goalkeeper Yoan Cardinale, will see a specialist on Thursday to determine whether he is fit enough to play in Friday's league game against Montpellier.

Monaco have only lost once in five matches since Falcao's injury and sit third in Ligue 1 and top of their Champions League group.
