Monaco goal drought worrying ahead of Coupe de France clash, says Jardim

Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim admits his side's form in front of goal remains a concern as he prepares to ring the changes for Wednesday's Coupe de France last-16 clash against Rennes.

Sunday's 1-0 Ligue 1 loss to Guingamp was the third successive match where Monaco have failed to find the back of the net, and their tally of 25 league goals scored this season is the second-lowest return in the top 10.

Monaco have also only managed to score three goals in a competitive match once since last April, and Jardim says it is an area he is keen to improve on.

He said at Monday's press conference: "Since the start of the season we've had a problem in the final third, and we are working hard to fix it.

"The players, more than anyone, are disappointed with our latest results and goalscoring difficulties."

Jardim also said he is planning to shuffle his pack for the visit of last season's Coupe de France runners-up, where injured duo Joao Moutinho and Ricardo Carvalho will be among those missing for the hosts.

He added: "We will play against Rennes to win, other players will have the opportunity to show what they can do."

Monaco, who reached the last four of the competition in 2014, are in action on Wednesday night, along with cup holders Guingamp, who go to fourth-tier Yzeure, and reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris St Germain, who take on Nantes.
