Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny says Emirates Stadium is his 'home'

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has said he considers the club to be his "home" and and wants to fight for a starting place.

Elneny was linked with a summer move to Leicester but decided to stay and started the 4-3 win over the Foxes at the Emirates on Friday.

However, the Egypt international is unlikely to retain his place when Aaron Ramsey is fully fit.

He had a mixed night against Leicester, setting up Alexandre Lacazette's opener but giving the ball away in the buildup to the visitors' second goal before being substituted in the second half.

"I consider Arsenal as my home. I give all that I have to play in the starting XI with the team and I'll always keep improving to keep my spot," he told Arsenal's official website.

"I am happy with the boss's confidence in my quality and I hope to deliver my best in all the games."

After Elneny came off, Arsenal rallied with two late goals -- one of them from Ramsey -- to secure a dramatic victory, and Elneny said that would give them a platform to build on.

"Winning was crucial after losing the opening fixture in many encounters during the past seasons," he added.

"After you win the first game in such style, this gives you such a push to continue the season in a very high spirit after turning the tables."
