Santi Cazorla played his first game in nearly six months and completed more than an hour for Arsenal's under-21s against Blackburn on Tuesday.

Cazorla started alongside Tomas Rosicky and Calum Chambers at the Emirates, having not played since injuring his knee at Norwich in November, and came off just after the hour with the Gunners 1-0 up in a game they went on to win 2-1.

Rosicky was playing his third game for the U21s after returning from a thigh injury but has yet to be included in one of Arsene Wenger's squads, while Chambers has struggled for playing time all season despite being fit.

Wenger was at the Emirates to watch the action, with Serge Gnabry also playing for Arsenal after returning from an unsuccessful loan spell at West Brom in January.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is also back in full training after an injury layoff, did not feature. Arsenal are vying for promotion to the U21 first division next season, and the win took them into the playoff final.
