Arsenal have signed under-21s starlet Alex Iwobi to a new long-term contract, the club announced on Tuesday.
The new deal solidifies an excellent start to the 2015-16 campaign for Iwobi, who earned a call-up to the Nigeria senior team last month, despite a history of playing for England at the U16, 17 and 18 levels.
The 19-year-old, who is the nephew of former Premier League star Jay-Jay Okocha, is delighted to have extended his stay at the Gunners and now has his sights set on making some first-team appearances in the coming months.

"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract, especially with a club like Arsenal who are so big," Iwobi told the club's official website. "I'm happy to sign for them.
"I like to think I have earned it. I have gone through a lot with Arsenal so to have a new and improved contract is very good and I'm happy to have earned it.
"I have had ups and downs. As I was growing up I had a lot of downs but as I get older things just keep getting better and better.
"The ultimate goal is to break into the first team and play as many games as I can."
