Brooklyn Beckham not offered Arsenal deal, considering options, say sources

David Beckham's son Brooklyn will not be offered a scholarship deal at Arsenal, sources have told ESPN FC.

Beckham, 15, has been enrolled at Arsenal's academy and was called up into the under-18s squad earlier this month.

The teenager, who plays on the right-side of midfield like his father, is thought to have impressed Arsenal's youth coaches, but they have opted against offering him a two-year scholarship to continue his career at the North London club as they feel they already have better talents at the club in the same age bracket.

Sources told ESPN FC that Beckham Jr. will remain at Arsenal until the summer to maintain his fitness as he weighs up his future options.

A number of other clubs are thought to have sounded out Beckham's advisers about taking the midfielder on, with the youngster set to make a decision in the summer if he wants to continue a career in football at another club.

Beckham was a late starter at Arsenal's academy where younger brothers Romeo, 12, and Cruz, 10, are also enrolled.
