Lionel Messi, Carlos Tevez in Argentina friendlies recall

Barcelona star Lionel Messi, Boca Juniors' Carlos Tevez and Manchester City's Sergio Aguero were all included in the Argentina 24-man squad recall for September friendlies in the United States against Bolivia and Mexico.

The squad is the same as the one that finished second at the recent Copa America, with only the addition of River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori.

Messi's call-up came on the same day that he celebrated his 10th anniversary of his Albiceleste debut on Aug. 17, 2005, under then-coach Jose Pekerman.

"Throughout all of these matches I have had incredible experiences, very beautiful. Unforgettable," Messi said. "I have also had to live through situations that have helped me grow as a player, but sadly, no championships. I want to win a title once and for all."

Argentina play Bolivia on Sept. 4 in Houston, Texas, and meet Mexico four days later in Dallas.
